We are commied to providing exceponal legal services that come with completely transparent informaon on legal fees. Legal funding options Private FundingPrivate funding is a common method for covering legal costs met by you personally, whether that be through income or savings. We provide regular cost updates and esmates to help you plan and manage your budget eecvely.Private BorrowingYou may also consider private borrowing, either through personal loans or from third pares such as family or friends. We advise you to consult with a nancial advisor before entering into any loan agreement to ensure it aligns with your nancial situaon. We can also advise you on how such borrowing may be treated in a divorce.Specialist LoansSpecialist legal fees loans are designed to help individuals nance certain types of legal assistance; oen but not exclusively court proceedings (they are somemes referred to as ‘ligaon loans’). This type of funding can cover the enrety of your legal fees, including solicitor fees, court costs and any expert or third-party fees. Unlike tradional loans, repayment of a ligaon loan is usually deferred unl your case is resolved, with interest usually accruing on the monies that have been drawn down from the loan. Our team can guide you through the requirements and process of securing a ligaon loan from reputable lenders that specialise in family law cases. Legal Services Payment Orders (LSPO’s)In some family law cases, parcularly those involving divorce and nancial disputes, the court may order a Legal Services Payment Order (LSPO). This order mandates one party (i.e. your spouse) to provide nancial assistance to the other to meet their legal fees, ensuring that both pares have equal access to legal representaon. This is however a last resort as the court must be sased that you have exhausted all other means of funding opons. Our team can advise you on this further if appropriate.Legal aid/public funding If eligible, legal aid can help towards your legal fees. However, legal aid is only available in limited circumstances in family law maers and is subject to both a means and merits test. You may also have to pay back some of the costs in certain scenarios. Unfortunately, we do not oer Legal Aid, but if you believe you may be eligible, we can direct you to other rms that oer this service. There are dierent ways to fund your legal fees, and these are detailed below:We will work with you to nd the most suitable and cost-eecve soluon to meet your needs, ensuring that nancial concerns do not prevent you from resolving your family needs. We will explain and discuss our fees and the opons available to you from the outset and throughout your maer. We will provide regular detailed cost esmates and cost updates to help you plan and manage your nances.
